Jared Goff's Swimsuit Model Girlfriend Says All The Right Things About Being Stuck In Detroit

Imagine what it must feel like to be Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Christen Harper, the girlfriend of Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who's about to go through her very first Michigan winter. The clouds are getting bigger, darker. The days are becoming shorter. The sun is about to disappear for months. Going outside will start to sound more miserable by the day.

The Lions are 0-6. Her boyfriend, who's making $26.5 million this season, has been publicly called out by his boss, Dan Campbell, for his performance.

And yet there was Harper saying all the right things Wednesday during an Instagram Q&A as the Lions prepare for a Sunday showdown in Los Angeles where Harper and Goff happily lived until the Rams shipped him and Harper, who was flying high and coming off her SI swimsuit debut, off to Siberia USA.

Life comes at you fast in the NFL and Harper, even if she's incredibly miserable on the inside, is saying all the right things about this Detroit prison sentence.

“I’ve honestly been loving the change of pace” in Detroit, she told her fans.

Smart play. The last thing you want to do is say how miserable you are. Detroit fans will make life even more miserable.

Harper went on to say that living in Detroit has given her the “opportunity to slow down and focus on things I haven’t been able to in a long time because of the fast-paced lifestyle in LA."

"Of course missing my friends and family and I’m sure I’ll start missing the sunshine, but honestly and truly loving it here,” she added.

The great news for Harper and Goff is that the Lions season will end on January 9 at home against the Packers and the two can immediately jet off to Los Angeles or the Caribbean to erase all memories they had of November and December in the Motor City.

And there's even better news for both sides -- the Lions restructured the contract Goff signed with the Rams to keep him in Detroit through 2022. That's right, Harper's looking at a maximum two-year sentence to Siberia USA.

There's zero chance the Lions re-sign Goff for the 2023 season, which means the former Super Bowl QB will be able to go out and find himself a $10 million backup QB position in a better city where Harper can enjoy the rest of her 20s.

Hang in there, Christen. Life will get better. Winter will be over before you know it.
