Jaguars Fire Urban Meyer

Meyer signed a five-year contract with the Jaguars in January 2021. He's now out after less than one full season.

Meyer's time in Jacksonville was disastrous from the start, both on and off the field.

Earlier today, former Jags' kicker Josh Lambo told the Tampa Bay Times that Meyer kicked him during an August practice.

“I’m in a lunge position. Left leg forward, right leg back … Urban Meyer, while I’m in that stretch position, comes up to me and says, ‘Hey Dips**t, make your f**king kicks!’ And kicks me in the leg,” Lambo claims.

Over the weekend, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero pulled back the curtain on Meyer’s first year in Jacksonville. Pelissero reported that Meyer had multiple intense run-ins with the Jaguars’ players and coaches. He even reportedly called them “losers.”

OC Darrell Bevell will now serve as the Jaguars' interim head coach.
