Maybe it was the tough outing against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday night, or maybe it was just too much to overcome for someone who hasn’t played the game in quite a long time.
Whatever the case is, Tuesday was the end of the NFL road for former QB Tim Tebow, who has now officially been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks. I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream…

It wasn’t the craziest idea for Tebow to take the summer and try out for the Jags, especially with former college coach Urban Meyer in his corner.
Tebow had a moment or two of success, but overall, he was just not a playmaker at the tight end spot.
Meyer admitted after the preseason loss to Cleveland Saturday night that the entire team, including Tebow, struggled to do much on either side of the ball.
Video showed that Tebow still had a lot left to do to make the Jags roster.

Now that the NFL dream is over for Tebow, he’s got plenty of options to continue his career in the spotlight. He’ll likely go right back to television to talk football for some network in the 2021 season.
People will crack jokes, but Tebow got to hang out in camp, get in great shape, get paid, now slides into the SEC Network booth for the fall. Tim’s playing chess while the rest of us play checkers.
Better than 99.99% of the world could do. This shows how incredibly difficult the position is at the pro level. It’s way more technique than raw athlete, and technique only comes with years of practice and games. It also makes Antonio Gates’ transformation from basketball player to HoF TE all the more amazing.
He’s a good dude too bad the national felon league could use some guys with character like Tebow and Fitz
Tebow is still a top notch person.
Good luck Tim
