Is Britney Spears About To Have The Biggest Comeback Year In Comeback History?

Videos by OutKick

As the resident Britney Spears expert around here, it’s my duty to write on all things Brit Brit because the soon-to-be 40-year-old poptress is a clickbait machine, and OutKick has a ton of readers who grew up glued to MTV as “One More Time” made it through the video rotation 23 years ago this month.

Last week, a judge made it official by ending Brit Brit’s conservatorship that had haunted her for 13 years. The decision means she has officially regained control of her life that spiraled out of control in 2007 when she shaved her head and went through a meltdown that included attacking a paparazzo’s SUV with an umbrella.

The “Toxic” singer celebrated her newfound freedom this week by posting yet another racy photo, but this time she had the perfect caption.

“You heard me … should I say it again ?????? KISS MY MOTHER F–KING ASS πŸ˜˜πŸ’‹πŸ‘ !!!!!,” Britney wrote.

What does it all mean?

Well, as OutKick’s Britney expert, I think it’s a clear shot at Spears’ parents who have, in Brit Brit’s mind, been anything but advocates for her. There’s been an escalation in Britney’s emotions that seem to signal we’re about to see this woman have a massive 2022 as she attempts to rebuild her financial empire.

Court documents analyzed by the New York Times show how Spears’ lawyer has been attempting to get his hands on basic financial information that would reveal whether any of her money — estimated to be somewhere around $60 million — had been mismanaged during the conservatorship.

Spears’ team would like to know how much was paid to Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, which was hired by the conservatorship, to handle accounting and financial services. In the documents analyzed by the Times, Tri Star lawyers refused to provide a number to Spears’ lawyer.

Britney’s also going after transfer records to see how much her father was paid to run the conservatorship. The Times reports that as of Friday, Jamie Spears has failed to provide documents and “has twice failed to appear for his deposition.”

Add all of this up and Britney’s left with no choice but to unleash in 2022. It’s time to make millions. It’s time to do a massive ‘Kiss My Mother F–king Ass’ tour aimed directly at her parents.

That is why you should have Brit Brit firmly on your 2022 Comeback Entertainer of the Year list. It feels like this is one of those moments where we hear Britney’s headlining Coachella and all the Coachella-hat wearing Instagram models go bonkers over the news.

β€œIt still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me,” Spears wrote Tuesday on Instagram. β€œIt was demoralizing and degrading. I’m not even mentioning all the bad things they did to me which they should all be in jail for.”

It’s brewing. Britney’s about to explode on the entertainment scene. She’s ready to restart her life, minus mom & dad.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you, suburban moms.
