Giants Fire OL Coach Marc Colombo Over Alleged Fist Fight With Joe Judge

Videos by OutKick

The Giants fired their first-year offensive line coach Marc Colombo today. When I saw the news cross the wire, I thought to myself, “Hmm…that seems like kind of random timing,” but I didn’t really give it much attention. However, juicy details are starting to emerge.

Jason McIntyre of Fox Sports, who was my boss for a number of years at The Big Lead, reports that there were fisticuffs between Colombo and Giants head coach Joe Judge:

Given that this presumably happened at the facility, there’s gotta be video of it. Will that ever see the light of day?

Update: Kim Jones of NFL Media disputes the report:

Let’s see how this story progresses throughout the day, as it’s definitely an item the Giants would be motivated to deny.

Update II: McIntyre reiterates that there was “100%” a fight:

  1. Marc Colombo got a FREE RIDE when Jerry hired him after he retired from the ‘Boys. Offensive line coach and I guess he got credit for Zack Martin, Tyron Smyth, La’el Collins, Travis Frederick…and others. Pretty sure he didn’t deserve the shine.
Course, we don’t know the details, but you gotta know you’re getting the “L” if you wanna duke it out with the HC. Vaya con Dios, DOUCHEBAG!!!
