George Foreman Still A Driving Force At 72

George Foreman turns 72 years old today and he has about as many cars as he does his famous grills.

Not really, but it does seem close.

As relayed in a lengthy piece from GQ's Adam Hay-Nicholls, the former heavyweight boxing champ owns "dozens" of "hot cars," many of which were purchased from the proceeds made via selling the grills that share his name.

"An amiable and inspirational figure, Foreman became the hired face for many products, from mufflers to Disneyland, but his main money spinner has been the George Foreman Grill, a fat-reducing cooker which was introduced in 1994 and has sold more than 100 million units," Hay-Nicholls wrote. "The grill has contributed the lion’s share to the sportsman’s £250 million wealth."

The piece went on to detail some of Foreman's more notable vehicles -- from the 1971 Stutz Blackhawk to the 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air to the 1974 Rolls-Royce Shadow and 1977 VW Convertible. That Volkswagon Beetle is supposedly Foreman's first love.

Foreman's car collection is his true passion, and he was able to make it happen because he turned himself from a boxer to an entrepreneur. That can be a lesson to us all. At the age of 72, Foreman is still swinging, and connecting. You can check out the full piece from GQ right here.
