Frank Gore Set For Boxing Debut Against Ex-NBA All-Star

Frank Gore officially found his foe for Showtime's PPV undercard of Jake Paul vs. Tyson Fury on Dec. 18 and it's former NBA All-Star Deron Williams.

Wasn't exactly expecting this since Williams cashed the final check of his $152 million career as an NBA player just last year. So there's no way he's broke -- chances are that he's just a fighter, which would be refreshing to see considering the bad rap NBA players have for standing around during scuffles.

All he's got to do is not get knocked out like Nate Robinson and he's golden.

A major difference already is the size of Williams who'll tower over Frank Gore. The former All-Star stands six-foot-three at 200 pounds to Gore's five-foot-nine 215 pound frame. Some extra weight there, however that reach advantage is significant enough to give him a real shot.

Perhaps the paydays are just too good to pass up on these celebrity fights and you don't actually have to be broke to potentially embarrass yourself anymore? But considering where we were not too long ago when boxers were the talk of the fighting game, watching NBA players take on NFL running backs for undercards is a straight simulation. Now we want to see the Jokic brothers take on the Morris twins.
