Former Tyron Woodley Foe Thinks Jake Paul Can Win Boxing Match

If any sleep clinics have an opening, they may want to inquire about Jake Paul's availability. The YouTube star has spent the last year helping overmatched opponents catch a little shuteye. First it was Nate Robinson, then Ben Askren. One MMA fighter thinks Paul's August opponent, Tyron Woodley, could be the next to catch some unwanted Zs.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, MMA fighter Gilbert Burns seemed to back Paul: "Jake Paul is really proving himself as a hard worker, a great boxer, heavy-handed. He's very big ... I don't see an easy fight for Tyron Woodley."

If anyone would know, it's Burns. The Brazilian fighter beat Woodley in a UFC bout in May of 2020.

"I see the pressure's on Tyron Woodley," said Burns. "He has to win that fight. Otherwise, it's going to be a horrible way to recover from."

Paul and Woodley are scheduled to square off in the ring August 29th at Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. For Woodley, the late summer date will be his first professional boxing fight. Paul will be throwing hands for the fourth time.

"The one thing that I learned for Tyron Woodley, he's very afraid to get tired," Burns continued. "I think Jake's go-to is to stay calm, put pressure on him, watch out for that right hand, but at the same time when the overhand right comes, it opens a lot of things."
