Former Razorback, Patriot, Army Veteran Running For Senate In Arkansas

Now that Jake Bequette's football career is over, he's set his sights on helping to run the country.

Bequette is a former defensive end with the New England Patriots and an Army veteran who played college football at Arkansas. He is also a Republican who has announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate.

"As an Army veteran, former NFL player, and Arkansas Razorback, I have lived my life with service and conservative values at the forefront," Bequette tweeted. "Now, I have a calling to do more. That is why I am running for the United States Senate."

He also sent out a link to support his cause, which you can find right here.

Bequette described himself as a “God-fearing Christian conservative who is 100 percent pro-life and pro-police.” He also took a moment to bash “politicians who only stand up for President Trump when they stand to benefit.”

Bequette is running for the seat currently occupied by Senator John Boozman. Former gubernatorial candidate Jan Morgan and pastor Heath Loftis are also in the Republican primary.
