Florida Star Keyontae Johnson Being Released from Hospital

Florida basketball star Keyontae Johnson, who collapsed on the court Dec. 12, is being released from the hospital, his family announced in a statement.

Johnson collapsed and fell face-first as he headed back onto the court following a timeout in a game at Florida State. He was taken off the court on a stretcher and rushed to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

No specific reason has been given for Johnson's collapse.

"Along with so many well wishes and prayers, we've understandably gotten questions about the cause and extent of Keyontae's illness," the family said in the statement. "As much as everyone involved wants firm answers, the process to draw definitive conclusions continues, and we ask for patience as the medical professionals continue their work."

Johnson is a 6-foot-5 junior. He averages 16.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in four games this season.
