Florida Boater Tries To Jump Storm Waves, Doesn't Succeed, Needs Rescued

First of all, I need you to understand this was over the weekend and not from Hurricane Sally. The poster, Wes Rolan, says his friends were out enjoying a day at Shell Island off Panama City Beach when a pop-up storm caught boaters out on the water and led to what we're watching here.

"Luckily no one was hurt just bruised ego and sunk boat," Rolan wrote on Instagram.

Keep in mind the water in this location, according to Rolan, is waist deep. "The sun was out and it was a beautiful calm day just a few minutes before!" he added.

Boating experts in the comments on these videos say that's a 15-foot Whaler turned sailboat. Luckily, the guy was brought in and can get back out on the water to live another day.
