First NBA Player Announces He is Sitting Out Orlando Re-Start

Washington Wizards forward Davis Bertans is the first NBA player to announce he's sitting out of the expected Orlando restart. Bertans is an upcoming free agent and has a history of ACL injuries.

I don't blame Bertans, at all. He's coming off his best season and his stock can only go down entering free agency.

I'd expect more players to follow now that the first domino has dropped. The intrigue is if any players on the few teams that are able to compete for a championship pull out.

ESPN reported over the weekend that there's growing concern throughout the NBA about its return plan as coronavirus cases spike in Florida. Though, the season is still expected to resume at the end of July.
