Field Yates to Host 'Fantasy Football Now,' Agrees to New Contract

Field Yates will host Fantasy Football Now this season, sources tell Outkick.

Yates has previously served on the pregame show as a commentator with Matthew Berry and Stephania Bell, who are returning. Yates is replacing Will Cain as host; Cain left ESPN for Fox News this summer.

Additionally, Yates has agreed in principle to a multi-year contract extension with ESPN, sources say. Yates will continue his role as an NFL insider across various platforms.

ESPN noticeably lacks a No. 1 NFL host. And the network doesn't have a clear answer for the future of the role, either. If Yates can succeed, he could establish himself in that race.

Yates was one of several ESPN personalities with an expiring contract in 2020. The network re-signed Keyshawn Johnson, Marcus Spears, Bomani Jones, Sarah Spain, and Pablo Torre. Several of which did not have competitive offers elsewhere, per multiple sources. Among those who did, three opted to leave: Will Cain, Adam Amin, and Emmanuel Acho.

Fantasy Football Now airs each Sunday on ESPN2 directly against ESPN's NFL Countdown.
