Fans Rip Washington’s Taylor Heinicke After Learning He Supports President Trump

Videos by OutKick

Taylor Heinicke did a nice job filling in for starting quarterback Alex Smith, but the Washington Football Team lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs, anyway. All the while Heinicke made headlines by getting ripped — not for his play, but for (what else?) his political beliefs.

Namely, Heinicke was a known supporter of President Donald Trump. Of course, so are a lot of professional athletes, but the social media mob decided to make Heinicke its entire football focus on Saturday.

Clearly, this is a testy time politically in this country, with the divide and anger between parties and those who support both sides perhaps as large as its ever been. Sometimes, pro athletes are going to feel the heat as a result — regardless of their play on the field. Heinicke likely wasn’t focused on anything but the game and isn’t likely to respond nor try to explain himself for his politicial choices (nor should he).

But that won’t keep the Twitter rage and often unfounded accusations from flying.

Heinicke finished 26-of-44 passing for 306 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.

  1. Wow now i really like Taylor Heinekie …

2021-2022 are the years that Pro athletes get a major haircut financially. they will Wish Trump had 4 more years.

all you Rich entertainers will pay twice; once to Biden at the new Millionares tax rate and in the pay cut from fewer fans paying to watch.

  2. Twitter as a platform for free debate is over. Getting mobbed as a minority on social media like chum for the blue check sharks is over. These platforms now exist solely as brand builders among leftist lemmings – the two sides have shown they canโ€™t coexist in a virtual world. Thankfully right wing platforms will exist soon (check out Parlerโ€™s homepage message)… Hopefully both sides can live together in the real world, if the coronabros ever let us have one again ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Rules for thee but not me. Double standards. Thought is now a crime. Marxism is good , capitalism is evil. The hate on the left is limitless. We cannot reason with them because THEY cannot reason. Conservatives, centrists and real actual liberals must hit them back with everything they have. There will be no agreement to coexist, only a winner. Oh, and ignore the SM looms, though they do have some power right now thanks to corrupt tech billionaires.
