Family Wins Big On ‘The Price Is Right’ Holiday Special, Takes Home Three Cars

Videos by OutKick

We all love a good game show, right? There are plenty of great options to choose from out there, but The Price Is Right is absolutely up there. It’s nostalgic, it’s fun and it’s entertaining.

The show is at its best when you have an emotional connection with the contestant, or in this case, the contestants.

During a Tuesday night holiday special, the Derricks family took winning on The Price Is Right to a whole new level. The best prize you can win is a car or some sort of vehicle. Yeah, the Derricks … they took home three.

The game was Triple Play, and the cars they took home? Check out the list.

  • Jeep Cherokee Latitude Crossover
  • Cadillac CT4 Luxury
  • Volkswagen Jetta

The combined price tag on those three cars sits at almost $85,000. Talk about a major score!

At this point, the only thing that could have made the moment any better would be to have Bob Barker still hosting the show. But with so many struggling during a global pandemic, it’s awesome to see a family like the Derricks score such a big prize.

  1. WHAT? You want Barker back? The jerk who was accused of sexual harassment by the models? The arrogant guy who treated contestants like they were beneath him? Yikes.

As for winning three cars? Hope they won some cash, because they’re gonna owe a buttload in California and federal taxes on that $85,000 worth of cars.

  2. winnings is taxed as income so depending on the tax bracket, let’s say they have a to pay a minimum of 25% in taxes. Plus costs to license. Smarter to take the cash and keep driving what you own. They may clear 60k if they get 80k in cash depending on their tax bracket. May get less
