Ex-NFL RB Clinton Portis Owes About $150K In Child Support; Court Orders Arrest

Videos by OutKick

A court has ordered the arrest of former NFL running back Clinton Portis over unpaid child support.

Portis, whose current address is in Gainesville, has failed to make a single payment of court-ordered child support of $1,937 monthly to the mother of a child born in March 2015, according to court documents obtained by the Alachua Chronicle. The mother’s address is in Michigan.

The first request for enforcement was filed in October 2019 when he owed $103,775. After the former Washington Football Team and Denver Broncos running back failed to appear at hearings, an Order to Appear and Show Cause was issued on July 20, 2021, ordering Portis to appear before the court on Aug. 6 or be arrested, Alachua Chronicle reports.

When he didn’t appear on Aug. 6, he was found in civil contempt of the court, the Alachua Chronicle reports. Portis owes retroactive child support just under $148,000 before additional interest, and court documents state he has “the means and ability to pay, has guaranteed income, and has substantial retirement assets.”

The newspaper reports that on Aug. 13, a Writ of Bodily Attachment was issued ordering that Portis be arrested. He can purge the contempt order and be immediately released from custody by paying $148,032.49, which includes the payment of the Sheriff’s fee.

Portis made $43 million in the NFL but declared bankruptcy in 2015, USA Today reported in 2015.

  1. Lack of parental responsibility in the 13% is the primary reason the 13% account for 53% of the murders in the USA and FAR exceed 13% in EVERY category of violent crime.

Criminal Race Theory is holding them back and the cause of Criminal Race Theory is unwillingness to take personal responsibility. That lack of personal responsibility also keeps them blaming the Systemic Racism Boogeyman instead of themselves. Whoever can solve that Rubik’s Cube and get the trillions of dollars we spend on the Criminal Race Theory problem to start going into the right place to solve it (instead of BLM’s and other grifters’ pockets) deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

So that explains Jerry Sandusky at Penn State and the 850 million dollar settlement with the Boy Scouts? So that explains the Very Fine People on Jan. 6 at the Capitol? What in the name of Tim McVey, Dylan Roof and Jeffrey Epstein is going on? #Murica

  2. He’s the poster child for what not to do. Blew a lot of money at Casinos. Domestic debts with children and exes. Trusted a couple guys who ripped him off for millions investing money for him thinking they would to turn 5 million into 50 million for him. You need to listen to your veterans teammates and the NFL Rookie symposiums .
