ESPN will take Rachel Nichols off the sidelines for the NBA Finals and replace her with Malika Andrews in response to year-old audio that leaked on Sunday.
ESPN sent the following statement to OutKick:
“We believe this is best decision for all concerned in order to keep the focus on the NBA Finals. Rachel will continue to host The Jump.”
Think about this: the pathetic leaker didn’t just hold and release the audio to assist in Maria Taylor’s unreasonable demands, but that person has also damaged Rachel Nichols’ career.
At ESPN, race-baiting leakers are more powerful than Jimmy Pitaro, who has officially lost his locker room.
ESPN has also canceled Nichols’ daily tv show, The Jump, for July 6, 2021.

I imagine Rachel Nichols will have no future covering the NBA after this, most of the players
will refuse to talk to her, or cooperate in any fashion, insisting that they’ll only cooperate with,
and speak with a black ‘analyst’, naturally it’s all in the name of ‘equity’.

Ordinarily I would be angry at this and while it may seem petty on my part, Rachel Nichols is as woke as they come. “Hoisted on her own petard” is sweet justice for the Rachel Nichols of the world.
Who cares if Nichols’ career is damaged? You get what you deserve.

They needed to do this, and probably a few more kicks while she’s down, to let Nichols’ Victim status recharge to its full power. Then they can officially welcome her back in an enhanced capacity next NBA season and look like they’re being magnanimous despite being the ones who dumped on her. ‘

Well, in the next round of Disney forced layoffs the salary they save on Nichols can now go to Taylor. The question is going to be is there really anywhere for Nichols to land or does she fade off the face of the earth like Beadle and Nolan?
