Introducing Outkick.locals.com, a new subscriber-based platform designed to allow you to engage with OutKick founder Clay Travis, as well as OutKick contributors and fans.
Clay and other OutKick contributors will be active within the outkick.locals posting text threads, pictures, videos, and responding to your posts. You can ask questions, discuss and debate with each other, and share content or things you may see elsewhere in the sports world.
Locals.com, is a creator crowdfunding site cofounded by Dave Rubin and Assaf Lev. It started in 2019 and is based in New York City. The site was founded after Rubin and Jordan Peterson left Patreon in protest of their policies on creator deplatforming.

So, the VIP forums aren’t already Outkick Locals?

We see Locals as another way for VIPs to engage with Clay, OutKick contributors and the OutKick community by posting content that isn’t exclusively text. Locals allows pictures, videos, and podcasts to be uploaded.

Is Outkick Locals a separate subscription to the Outkick VIP I already have?
This is a bad idea. Outkick contributors should be engaging on the VIP forums and posting exclusive content for VIPs. Don’t see why I should renew VIP if I have to pay to access Outkick content elsewhere. Makes zero sense.

Thanks for your feedback. Based on some other great feedback from VIPs, we have decided to make Locals FREE Forever for VIPs.
To be clear, there will be no exclusive content that gets posted to Locals that an OutKick VIP won’t receive. Locals is another way that we are building out an OutKick community through posts that are not limited to just text like the VIP Forums. For example, Clay posted a video of himself down in Mexico playing golf.

Sounds like a very fair response. Honestly I personally wouldn’t mind trying out the local forum for 6-month and then decide whether to pay for access. Understand Clay, Sam, and the gang are doing a great job and finding ways to trying out different platform and maximizing their influence and revenue.

Yeah. I don’t feel harrassed or intimidated by wokeness on this website as a VIP. Why does Outkick want to go to its own safe space behind a paywall? It sounds antithetical to the basic philosophy of Clay Travis. Besides, I kind of enjoy the one-month trollers that come and go.
I think this is a great add and a good fit for Outkick. I follow Dave Rubin and
Scott Adams on locals and it’s a pretty decent platform so far with a lot of potential, they are supposed to be adding live streaming too. The pay for premium content setup keeps trolls away, but they need to work out a better system than the coins. Looking forward seeing the Outkick content there!
Will we be able to use this to set up a dating profile
I joined Locals and am a current VIP, but it’s still asking for $5 a month for full content. Is it really free for current VIPs?
