Dr. Fauci: ‘No Reason’ Americans Can’t Vote In Person in November

Videos by OutKick

In case you didn’t know, there’s an ongoing debate about mail-in voting for the November 2020 presidential election. It has politicians bothered, arguing, and tweeting.

Now, we hear from a doctor. A celebrity doctor, that is. That’d be National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“[There is] no reason,” Americans can’t vote in person, Fauci said.

“I think if carefully done, according to the guidelines, there’s no reason that I can see why that not be the case,” Fauci told ABC News this week. “If you go and wear a mask, if you observe the physical distancing, and don’t have a crowded situation, there’s no reason why shouldn’t be able to do that.”

He might not be able to pitch a baseball, but he nailed this. If precautions are taken, there is absolutely no reason Americans can’t vote in-person.

2020 mail-in voting is concerning. The frequent comparison to past absentee ballots isn’t valid. The number of mail-in voters would be astronomically larger. An amount the system is yet to experience anything like. It could cause delays in results and voter fraud.

It should not be an option available to everyone, but instead reserved for those who, as Fauci put it, are “compromised physically.”

Hopefully, this November, there is both college and in-person voting. But who knows with this country?

  1. OMG just wait until next week he will say something different he is a deep state actor hasn’t practiced front line medicine in an actual practice in decades and with his bedside manner no one would make it out alive. Enough already just go away.

    • No joke. This guy has been all over the map since the start of Covid. First we don’t need to wear masks, then we just need 15 days to flatten the curve, then we should never shake hands again, then we get tips on Covid-friendly tinder hook ups, and now we have permission to vote in person. Smh

  2. Hey Bobby,
To me it’s not a question of CAN the person vote in person, it’s IMPERATIVE that they VOTE in person…unless they sent in a request for ABSENTEE vote b/c they’re away. It’s been that way forever. Calling me a racist isn’t gonna make me change my mind.
If you’re home, you vote in person…with ID.
You can’t go into your bank and withdraw money without a debit card and ID…you can’t rent a car without ID…you can’t buy booze if you look too young without ID…and if you get stopped by police you definitely need an ID.
Voting is the most important franchise we have in America…no way should somebody be able to walk into a polling place and dump 100K ballots on the desk and say those are legit votes.
    GTFO!!!

  3. I think Fauci has been called a hypocrite so much in the last couple months, he has decided to adhere to he logic of his pro-mask proclamation and say that you can vote in-person if you wear a mask. What political office is he running for?

  4. I would ONLY vote in person. I don’t trust the postal system, federal, state or local systems to securely and ethically process any paper mail in ballot. We might as well blindly mail someone our credit card and PIN while hoping it all turns out well. It’s insane. How are we know our vote was actually received, securely processed and “counted” as we intended? I’m horrified at the thought of my vote depends on a warehouse full of “hanging chad counters”. If I have to dress in a hazmat suit, I’ll only vote in person. This mail in crap is a recipe for massive voter fraud.
