Details on Will Cain's Role with Fox News

Will Cain is joining Fox News and will debut on August 15, Outkick has learned. Cain will co-host FOX & Friends Weekend, which airs Saturdays & Sundays 6-10 a.m. ET.

Cain will join co-hosts Jedediah Bila and Pete Hegseth.

“I am excited to join the team at FOX & Friends Weekend and look forward to building upon my experience in sports, news and politics on the number one morning show in the country," Cain said on his move, via the network.

Cain had an offer to stay on ESPN, with discussions to move up higher in the radio lineup, but Cain chose the Fox offer, sources say. At ESPN, Cain hosted the Will Cain Show and had contributed to other shows throughout his time such as First Take and OTL.

Moving over to politics, an industry Cain had previously worked in, opens him up to millions of viewers. Fox News is the top cable news channel, with distance above the competition. For comparison, FOX & Friends Weekend averages around 2 million viewers per episode. That's more than First Take, ESPN's top show right now, averages in a week.

Cain's move draws comparisons to Tucker Carlson's. When Carlson joined Fox News in 2009, he started out hosting the same FOX & Friends Weekend show.
