Despite Strict Lockdowns, Michigan Has 7 Of Top 10 Worst COVID Locations

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer talked all the talk, walked all the walk and just generally acted like her plan to fight COVID-19 was the way to go.

When it came to imposing lockdowns, no one was stricter than Whitmer and Michigan.

Yeah, uh, way to go, governor.

According to the New York Times, seven of the 10 metro areas with the worst COVID surges are in Michigan. Jackson, MI ranked No. 1 in the country for all the wrong reasons.

Jackson is followed by Detroit, Flint, Monroe, Lansing and Owosso, respectively. Only New York City, coming seventh, could break the string of Michigan cities with the biggest surges.

Granted, you can't really blame politicians for what happens with a virus. It's really not their field of expertise. But we just elected a president whose entire campaign focused on "ending the virus." And the mainstream media and Big Tech went out of their way to blame Donald Trump. So it's only fair to pin this dire news on Whitmer.

"As the pandemic progresses, the number of cases per capita can provide a good measure of the prevalence of coronavirus in a community, even if the deadliest period of the outbreak has passed, as it may have in places like Seattle, New York and New Orleans," the report noted.
