The big news out of Denver over the last five days or so has been the opening of an In-N-Out burger joint in the suburb of Aurora and the insanely long line people sat in just to get a burger and fries. Friday, the Aurora Police Department estimated that the line stretched 1 1/2 to 2 miles long and maxed out at a 14-hour wait. Some customers didn’t get their food until 2 a.m.
As you’d expect, emotions ran high as people waited for that moment when they could wrap their mouths around a $5 burger. At one point Friday, those emotions boiled over, and a guy in line wearing his trusty sweatpants ended up throwing fists with fellow In-N-Out fans who decided to keep themselves busy by fighting. What else are you supposed to do while waiting 14 hours for food?
This man pulled up to the In n Out to get in line and get knocked out of his sweatpants 😂😂😂. Day 1 and the city don't know how to act 😂 https://t.co/obRqqdzjxv pic.twitter.com/gOINJh0oBp

By Saturday, the drive-thru line had dropped to eight hours while the walk-up line wait was about an hour. Things have settled down, and the Aurora PD has stopped providing updates on the weirdos waiting in those crazy lines. Police were told In-N-Out expected to sell 60,000 burgers over the weekend. This is where we stand in 2020. No more camping out for concert tickets. Now people sit in their cars, scroll through their phones, send Snaps to their friends, tell each other how great they look on Instagram, and then gorge on a Double-Double at 2 a.m.
What are we doing, people? Have we never had a burger and milkshake before? Someone reading this explain to me what’s happening to society that we wait in any line longer than 30 minutes for drive-thru food. Someone who waited 14 hours needs to step up and explain the thought process behind it. Was it that once you were in line, it was impossible to get out? Talk to me. I need to dig into your brain.
Somebody's car died in the In-N-Out Burger line here in Aurora, CO 🤣 an In-N-Out employee came to save the day with a jump though! Sorry for the dirty window and my poor word choice when I said "Someone died in the In-N-Out line" 😅 a person didn't die, a car died lol.

I don’t understand waiting this long for a cheeseburger. It can’t be that good. Only in Merica, the home of fast food and obesity would this happen. Priorities people, priorities.
It’s not. 20-30 minute wait maybe. An hour or more? No way. In-N-Out is decent, but quite over-rated. Just when I thought Americans couldn’t be any dumber. Well it is Colorado and there are a lot of potheads.
Anyone who waits in a line for shoes, burgers, etc. if a fkn loser. People, what is your time worth? lol..
Also, let me add, In-N-Out Burger is overrated. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but it’s not like jizz in my pants good.
Wait, does this mean that In-n-out is a super spreader!!?? Should we shut them down!!???
They do put scripture verses on the bottom of their cups….
I don’t think there is a food on this planet I would wait in line 14 hours for. If the wait at a restaurant is more than 20 minutes I bail
Just wait, Comrade. You will wait for food. Oh yes, the lines will showcase the Worker’s Paradise.
Dammit. Looks like I have to go buy a gun to go get bread. LOL
I’ve had an In-n-out and it isn’t worth the wait. 10 min. tops and that’s if the next place is a 10 min drive away. The only good thing about fighting over it is it was probably the most exercise those guys had in years by the look of it. They opened a new Church’s Chicken near our house that had the same phenomenon happen. We waited a month before going there because we weren’t willing to wait. Once we went it tasted like they hadn’t changed the oil since day one and haven’t been back since. A year later, no wait and no customers. Hope they made their profit up front.
Shoot the burgers I make are probably just as good and I don’t have to wait 14 hours to get them.
This is the winning comment. If the kid flipping an In-N-Out burger can do it, so can the rest of us.
How can America consider itself the prime example of the world yet our people will wait 14+ hours for shitty fast food chicken sandwiches and hamburgers? Haha…
I think the same thing whenever I drive by Chik-Fil-A here in Vegas. 30+ car drive-thru lines for some bland chicken sandwich that Popeye’s easily eclipses.
Well, when you take away people’s recreational pursuits, force them to rubber band a diaper to their face, and generally lie to and humiliate them, they will be more likley to do dumb shit like this.
😆 This story is great, but the comments are hilarious!! As a new out kick member, it’s obvious I’m in with a great group!
#1: grown men should not wear sweat pants in public. I realize he probably sleeps in those things, and didn’t anticipate getting out of his vehicle in a 14 hour hamburger to line to throw.
#2: I’m glad I wasn’t wearing sweatpants when I watched the video of that news reporter. Another reason not to wear sweat pants.
#3: I really, really hate people.
Well the guy he was fighting ended up in his boxers with his pants around his ankles. I think that means you lost.
