I think one of the points that Dana White was trying to make, is that while we need to take virus seriously, which he did by instituting all the safety protocols, we also need to look at creative ways for folks to continue to make a living. Rather than just cancelling things are closing certain businesses, we need to look at new ways of keeping business going.
I think Dana White also made a good point that he was thinking about all the employees that do support and production work for the UFC, not one of those people lost their jobs and everyone was able to continue working. When these governors put such severe restrictions on businesses such as bars and restaurants, it not only puts many of these people out of work, but it also affects the vendors that supply those businesses. The vendors that supply proteins, produce, beer and booze are also negatively affected, there is a ripple affect. I applaud Dana White for taking the virus seriously and implementing numerous safety protocols and coming up with creative ways to keep the business going and folks employed.
I think he carries a great attitude and I wish more would challenge media and corona bros. Instead the world unfortunately is full of sheep. Thanks Dana let rustle up some wolves. If your scared your welcome to hide under your blanket!

No offense but there is no way in hell UFC over takes basketball. Maybe baseball because baseball has been losing athletes and fans for the last 20-30 years. Basketball is the 2nd most played sport in the world behind soccer. IJS
Yeah I’m not convinced either way, I just think in 5-10 years it will look a lot different. Time is a funny thing. The world used to revolve around baseball, boxing, horse racing while the NFL was at the kiddie table….

Mason my bro – think it is quite inaccurate to compare the value of UFC as a whole vs. any professional league. It is more accurate to compare the value of UFC as a whole vs. a professional team (when comparing the number of corporate employees and staff). If we use that matrix, I would say most if not all of the 4 major professional team owners would prefer to be in the UFC’s shoes vs. a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars, both in terms of value of the organization now and the $ values down the line. For UFC, China and most of the Asia is an untapped market and its popularity will only grow exponentially with current and future Chinese champion – not the same for your Jacksonville Jaguars or even an NBA franchise (which honestly can be worthless in China at the whim of the communist party).
The UFC has to support a small fraction of the people the NBA does. THAT is his responsibility. The UFC is seeing explosive growth from a much smaller base while the NBA is imploding. Facts
