Cuomo Had Staffer Complete Harassment Training For Him

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo skipped a sexual harassment course that he himself mandated ... and instead had someone on his staff go in his place, a former aide said in an interview with CBS.

Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment by three women, including two former top aides.

One of those women, Charlotte Bennett, said Cuomo mandated sexual-harassment training for state employees in 2018. Then in 2019, skipped it himself.

"I was there. I heard say, 'I can't believe I'm doing this for you' and making a joke about the fact that she was completing the training for him," Bennett told CBS. "And then I heard her at the end ask him to sign the certificate."

Cuomo has since apologized for his behavior amidst the allegations, though added he does not intend to re-sign. During the press conference, a reporter asked Cuomo if he had complete sexual harassment training.

"Short answer is yes," he said.

Per Bennett, Cuomo said in June that he was open to dating women in their 20s, asking her if she thought age made a difference in romantic relationships, the New York Times reported. Cuomo is 63.

“I understood that the governor wanted to sleep with me, and felt horribly uncomfortable and scared,” Bennett said.
