Yellowstone Tourist Tests Fate With Massive Bison: VIDEO

Would it shock anyone to learn tourists going to Yellowstone are still doing stupid stuff?

Well, buckle up because OutKick has another great video for all you nature and animal thunderdome fans. People going to the legendary national park and behaving in foolish fashion is a story as old as the park itself, and thanks to the internet, it's regularly put on display.

That now includes a truly incredible video from the popular Instagram account @touronsofyellowstone. A man decided to get shockingly close to a bison in order to snag some photos.

The Bison, in return, decide to check out the guy, and while the situation didn't end in disaster, it's just the latest reminder of how dumb people can be.

Give it a watch below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Yellowstone tourists continue to make foolish decisions.

If I've said it once before, then I've said it a million times. Animals out in nature aren't your friends. Not even a little bit. The animal thunderdome isn't a Disney movie.

It can be a horror unlike anything you can imagine. Have you seen what the victim of a bear attack looks like? Have you seen what the aftermath of someone getting attacked by a bison looks like?

Google it if you're curious. I can promise you it's bloody and gross. Yet, all the previous incidents don't seem to deter people from making the same mistakes over and over again.

A male bison can weigh around 2,000 pounds and wouldn't hesitate to pulverize someone at the first sign of feeling threatened. Is that worth your little close up picture? If the answer is anything other than no, then you need to get your priorities in order.

Now, is there a problem taking photos from a distance? Not at all. If you're 30+ yards back, then it's highly-unlikely a bison is going to ruin your day for no reason. However, some people just have to play stupid games, and we all know how that can end.

There's a reason I never go out into nature unarmed. It's a war zone out there, and I say that as someone who likes nature. Have a crazy story about wild animals or people doing stupid things? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com
