Woman Second-Guessing Her Relationship After Finding Out That Her Boyfriend Slept With His Step-Sister

Relationships can be a complicated mess sometimes.  One minute, everything can be going smoothly.  You're on vacation enjoying each other's company without a care in the world.

The next minute, you could be left second-guessing the entire relationship because you find out your boyfriend slept with his step-sister.  A woman found herself in this exact situation during a recent family vacation.

The 35-year-old woman was lost and disgusted after being hit with the information.  She and her boyfriend of five years were on a family trip at the time with his mom, dad, step-brother, and step-sister.

The vacation was only her second time meeting her boyfriend's step-sister.  The two hit it off and she really liked his step-sister.  That was before a conversation with her drunk boyfriend.

"He was absolutely wasted last night, and I was telling him how much I like his step-sister, he continued by telling me I should dress like her, which I thought was a little strange," she said of the chat with her boyfriend.

"Then I said, 'sounds like you have a thing for your sister' and he came out and told me over 15 years ago, him and her slept together many times."

Whoops, that was a mistake and to make matter worse, he couldn't stop talking about it.  That, as you might imagine, didn't go over well with his girlfriend.

"He kept mentioning it last night almost as if he was proud of what he did, and it was a bit repulsive to me," she continued.  "Apparently no one knows in his family, and only his best friend knows about what happened."

"Now I honestly can barely look at him, I feel so beyond disgusted and am second guessing our entire relationship."

The girlfriend was so upset by the situation that she wanted to cut the vacation short and go home early.  She wasn't sure how to handle it and felt bad for judging him.

I don't have any strong feelings on this one way or the other.  It was 15 years ago, but then again, he mentioned to his girlfriend that she should dress like his step-sister.  It's a tiny bit weird, but people are weird.

I would say that it could be worse.  He could have slept with his step-brother and not his step-sister.  To each their own, I'm not saying it would be worse necessarily because he would have slept with a guy.

I am saying that it would be worse from the standpoint that he would be dropping two big secrets on his girlfriend at once instead of just one.  When you look at it that way, the whole step-sister thing isn't all that bad.
