Woman Being Arrested For Stealing Neighbor's Victoria's Secret Offers To Return The Underwear She's Wearing
The convenience of ordering things online and having them delivered to our front door has also provided a convenience of sorts for thieves. They don't have to break into your house anymore to steal from you.
Thieves can simply drive through a neighborhood these days looking for packages left sitting by front doors, hop out of their cars, swipe the packages and make off with the goods.
Some have even started following delivery trucks around to steal packages immediately after they've been dropped off. Doorbell cameras aren't even enough to stop the theft.

For a lot of victims of porch pirates, they never find the person who stole from them. The package is gone and even with video of the incident it's hard to track them down.
An Ohio woman, who purchased $400 worth of Victoria's Secret was one of the lucky ones. A porch pirate wasn’t the one who stole her package. Her hundreds of dollars of items were taken by a neighbor who had the package delivered to her house by mistake.
In order to retrieve her package, the woman contacts the police. Her own attempts to have her package returned to her were unsuccessful. Officers show up, flip on their bodycams, and go confront the neighbor about the package which was dropped off at their house by mistake.
One would think that once the police were involved the package would be returned, with all of the items, without any issues. This family and the alleged thief had other ideas about how the situation would play out.
The Offer To Return The Stolen Victoria's Secret Items Is Too Little Too Late
The first step was to play dumb. This was performed by the mother of the woman who - spoiler alert - ends up in handcuffs. Although she's willing to believe what she's being told about the stolen package if there is evidence it was on their front porch.
After a back and forth with the officer, the mother's husband and daughter join in on the fun. When officers explain they have doorbell footage from a nearby house showing the package being stolen, they eventually decide to produce the package in question.
But, of course, there are items still missing. These are apparently items the thief isn't ready to part ways with. Despite being five items short, she claims not to be in possession of any more of the items. She suggests the woman contact Victoria's Secret.
Unfortunately for her, the officers don't buy her story that the missing five items weren't in the stolen package and decide to detain her. When she's threatened with a trip to jail, the woman is able to find four out of the five missing items.
Given how much trouble she's had to go through to get almost all of her items back, the victim of the theft still wants to see the thief prosecuted for the one outstanding item. This bit of news is met with disbelief, then an admission that she's wearing the missing underwear, and an offer to take the underwear off in order to return them.
As the officers begin to escort the alleged thief to their patrol car, she blurts out, "Ask her if it's a pink pair of underwear! Ask her! I'm wearing them!"
She continues, "Come on ask her if it's a pink pair of underwear. I'll take them off!"
What a ride. It's safe to assume the woman didn't want the pair of underwear being worn at the time of the arrest to be returned to her.
