'White Man' Shaun King Called Out By Tamir Rice's Family For Profiting Off Son's Death

The family of Tamir Rice has spoken out publicly to denounce civil rights activist Shaun King.

Considered a fundraising fraud, King has frequently been accused of using his anti-police, pro-critical race theory platform for profit and fame.

Samaria Rice, mother of the deceased Tamir Rice, released an Instagram post calling out King's new podcast episode titled "I spoke to Samaria Rice this past week.”

She accused King of using communications with the family for headlines.

According to the report, "Samaria Rice was apparently set off by King publishing details of a conversation they had, after she previously blasted King and others, accusing them of benefitting from the death of her 12-year-old son, who was shot by Cleveland police while playing with a toy gun."

The report notes that the podcast episode has been removed from the website.

King's platform as a civil rights activist has been hotly contested for years. He has made strong remarks on behalf of the African-American community and claims to be black, though many suspect he is actually Caucasian.

King has profited off the names of African-American civilians involved in police shootings. He also embraces the same ideology and practices as Black Lives Matter.

With a net worth of $3 million, King continues to spread a message of anti-racial divide, so many perceive him as a wolf in sheep's clothing.

During the civil unrest surrounding Jacob Blake's shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2020, King threatened to reveal the names of innocent Kenosha PD officers.

The activist, holding the personal information hostage, demanded that the identity of the police officer responsible for Blake's shooting be revealed. King held firm support for Blake, who was involved in a non-fatal shooting with the police after his girlfriend called Kenosha PD to report Blake for endangering their child.

The report stated, "Police Officer Rusten Sheskey said he shot Blake 'because he was afraid Blake, while attempting to flee the scene, was trying to kidnap a child in the backseat of the vehicle.'" Blake's partner also cited attempted sexual assault as a motive for calling the police to stop Blake at the scene.
