Wellesley College RAs Send Out Insane Anti-Israel Message, Issue Pathetic Non-Apology

Wellesley College is embroiled in issues after resident advisors blasted out a wild anti-Israel message to students.

Israel continues to hammer Hamas following a terrorist attack against Israelis that left more than 1,400 people dead and hundreds taken as hostages.

The footage of the attack is nothing short of disgusting, appalling and horrific. While many people in America have shown support for the good people suffering in Israel, a staggering amount of people in the USA have also rallied in support of Hamas and shown their anti-Semitic colors.

The issue seems out of control on college campuses, and Wellesley can now be added to the list.

Wellesley RAs blast out insane anti-Israel message.

Instead of standing against terrorism and the slaughter of innocent Israelis, resident advisors at Wellesley decided to condemn Israel following the attack.

Not only did the RAs condemn Israel, but the message made it clear people who support Israel have no place on campus.

The message stated the following, according to Reason and Jake Novak:

Hello all, As of October 18th, 2023, the Palestinian-Israeli war has cost the lives of some 3,478 Palestinians and wounded 12,000. Israel's apartheid against Palestinians, characterized by the displacement of 600,000 individuals, the dissemination of genocidal rhetoric by the Israeli government, and the illegal occupation of native Palestinian lands, have left our hearts heavy. With all historical, political, and territorial aspects considered, Israel's zionist government needs to be condemned. Furthermore, individuals who endorse the forced removal of Palestinians should be recognized as supporters of colonization. Munger Hall stands in strong condemnation of Israel's actions and those who have supported their actions against PalestiniansWe firmly believe that there should be no space, no consideration, and no support for Zionism within the Wellesley College community. In accordance with these beliefs, we plan on donating to a reputable organization that provides aid to the children and families whose lives have been destroyed. We will vote for the amount and organization in a future HoCo meeting. While Munger res staff want to support and make space for you through this devastating time, we also recognize that we may not be fully equipped to do so in the way each individual needs. Therefore, we'd like to point you to The Stone Center and The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL) that may be able to help. ORSL is currently putting together processing spaces specifically for this issue, they may send an email soon regarding that. We care about each and every one of you, and please feel free to reach out with any ideas of how we can best support you during these difficult times.
Thank you, Munger Res Staff
–Moi Nee she/her Class of 2024

Send me your thoughts on the message to David.Hookstead@Outkick.com. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the insanity stated above.

The issued apology was comically bad.

Following the insane message, Wellesley president Paula Johnson released a statement of her own claiming the following, according to the same Reason report:

It recently came to my attention that a small number of student residence hall leaders from one dormitory sent a letter to their housemates in their capacity as resident assistants that expressed views on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Our Student Life team met with these students and talked about their role and responsibility to support all students. They have since sent an apology to all students in the residence hall. That these young leaders were able to learn from this episode gives me hope.

It was off to the races from there. Instead of issuing a sincere apology, the RAs involved with the incident decided to try their best to deflect.

The follow message stated the following:

The views expressed do not reflect the views of Paula Queenan (our CD), Cathy Bickel, the Office of Residential Life and Student Housing, Wellesley administration, the Munger community as a whole, or anyone else in the college.
If you'd like to process this situation with other resources on campus, we would like to continue pointing you to The Stone Center and The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL).
We want our residents to know that while we never intended so, we understand how making this statement has caused hurt to specific populations in our community. We as a staff are committed to rebuilding trust and repairing relationships in the Munger community.
If anybody has felt affected by the message sent last night, please feel free to reach out to us to talk. We hope to hold a community space for Munger residents soon regarding this issue.
All my best, –Moi

The situation just kept getting worse for Wellesley.

Seeing as how Moi Nee and the rest of the people involved had stepped in it pretty good at this point, a smart person would probably push back from the table and call it a day.

Of course, that's not what happened. Somehow, the non-apology then escalated when Nee took to Instagram claiming the follow up statement was forced.

"Btw when y'all see the next munger email, just know i had a gun to my head nd i still stand on business. Y'all some weak bitches fr. palestine forever," the message on her Instagram read and showed a picture of Jesus thrashing Joe Biden, according to the same report.

You can see a screenshot of it here.

Colleges have a huge issue with anti-Semitism and anti-Israel hate.

Unfortunately, what happened at Wellesley isn't unique at all. People across the country have seen similar issues.

Dozens of Harvard student organizations co-signed a letter blaming Israel for Hamas conducting a horrific terrorist attack. It was downright appalling and read, in part, as follows:

We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence. Today’s events did not occur in a vacuum. For the last two decades, millions of Palestinians in Gaza have been forced to live in an open-air prison. Israeli officials promise to ‘open the gates of hell,’ and the massacres in Gaza have already commenced. Palestinians in Gaza have no shelters for refuge and nowhere to escape. In the coming days, Palestinians will be forced to bear the full brunt of Israel’s violence.

I wish I could say that was a one-off incident, but it wasn't. The University of Wisconsin saw one of the most horrific anti-Israel and anti-Semitic displays when students chanted "Glory to the martyrs!" in support of Hamas following more than 1,400 Israelis being murdered.

Now, Wellesley resident advisors sent out a horrible message that claimed there is no place on campus for people who support Israel. It's downright disgusting and unacceptable. Send me your thoughts to David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
