South Florida Is A Majestic Paradise Loaded With Booze And Good Times | WEEKEND RECAP

Another outstanding weekend is in the books, and we all know what that means:

It's time for another OutKick Weekend Recap.

The OutKick audience continues to absolutely dominate with this weekly column, and I can't thank you all enough. It's been a ton of fun, and keeps getting bigger and bigger with every passing week. Make sure to send all your stuff to me at David.Hookstead@outkick.com or on X at @dhookstead.

I had a bit crazier weekend than usual. I attended a wedding in Florida in the Fort Lauderdale area, and it's an area I'd never been to before. However, there was chaos unfolding before I even was wheels up.

I flew out of DCA, and it was a madhouse. There was more security, dogs and cops than I ever remember seeing before. Security lines were outrageously long and TSA was barking orders like it was the opening phase of basic training. Elevated threat status? Simply because it was morning after SOTU? No idea, but I wasn't exactly having a great time.

Needed to get myself a quick margarita to dial back in and refocus my mind. I apologize for looking like I have the eyes of an insane person, but that's what the content game does to you after a decade in the trenches. The demons take hold and don't let go.

I eventually made it to Fort Lauderdale and immediately annoyed my girlfriend by stepping off the plane and loudly proclaiming, "Nobody told me Florida was going to be hot!"

Classic jokes never fail.

South Florida is a wild place, and I loved everything about it. The people were awesome, the drinks were flowing shortly after getting some rest and recharging and the vibe was just excellent. Most people seem to be retired and just looking to party. That's the kind of vibe and tempo I respect the hell out of.

I also hit up a Flanigan's, which is a Florida seafood chain. Had the fish tacos. Not too bad.

Here's a look at the scenery while out burning some calories on a morning walk!

Also, can we start giving Coors Banquet some more respect? It doesn't get nearly enough, and it's an outstanding beer.

Finally, a little wedding content for you all to enjoy. Seriously, how fire is my outfit? My girlfriend doesn't look too bad either! Let me know what you think of my look at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Seriously, I don't know how anyone in south Florida gets any work done. I didn't want to leave, and generally speaking, I never want to leave the Hookstead Compound (location classified) because I don't like traveling. I might have to get a place in south Florida because it's simply incredible. My kind of people.

Finally, I can't leave without giving this good boy a shoutout. Doing his part to keep the skies safe.

OutKick readers celebrate the weekend.

Now, let's get into what the glorious actions the OutKick readers got into this weekend. First off, happy birthday to OutKick contributor and reader Lexie Rigden. A great lawyer we're happy to be involved with.

OutKick's in-house golf expert Mark Harris did exactly what all guys love doing:

Playing sports, drinking and making money.

If you're not already following all of his golf content, then today is a great day to start. Best golf guy in the game.

A little more golf content with nature mixed in.

Who doesn't love a great bloody Mary? But as Scott pointed out, the garnish game here is a joke.

Looks like I wasn't the only one in Florida. Seriously, how awesome is this place?

Someone has to make sure the grind never stops. Let's hope Chris didn't have to work too hard.

Speaking of work, this is doing the Lord's work for all the right reasons. I can't wait to see the final product.

Here's some more church content for all the believers.

I'm not exactly familiar with the brand of alcohol, but I fully endorse the idea.

Speaking of other OutKick team members, you're all missing out if you're not following Hayley's videos. Some of the funniest/most engaging content on the internet.

Definitely check her out.

Everyone knows we're big fans of nature here at OutKick, and as usual, our readers made sure to spend some time outside.

Turns out we have at least one car guy here at OutKick.

Look at how great this meat looks! As I often say, nobody can cook and grill better than the OutKick audience.

And some soccer fans as well!

Personally, I'm not a huge lacrosse fan, but I respect whenever a family gets to spend some time together at a sporting event.

We have some baseball action. It is that time of year.

This is a hell of a classic vehicle.

I had to look up what the Mint 400 is but it turns out it's an epic off-road race in Nevada. Sounds pretty badass.

I truly hate changing the clocks. It's a disaster and losing an hour of sleep is brutal.

Great to see some family time, and thanks for the kind words, Jon. Happy to have you as part of the team!

I'd be lying if I said I didn't also spend some serious time at bars over the past few days.

That's it for the latest Weekend Recap. Make sure to check back next week, and keep reaching out to me at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
