David Hookstead Makes $100,000 Offer In Response To Dawn Staley's Transgender Stance | Weekend Recap

Ladies and gentlemen, another great weekend is behind us and we all know what that means:

A new OutKick Weekend Recap.

This weekend was the most action-packed weekend of college basketball of the year, and we still have UConn/Purdue Monday night for the national title.

However, I have to note the games were briefly overshadowed by Dawn Staley's absolute clown behavior when it came to her outlook on transgender athletes competing against women. Just bizarre, but let's be honest, Bronny James now has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever. He would average 60 a game against women.

So, I have an offer to prove just how stupid Staley's stance was ahead of winning the national title. I'll set aside $100,000 of my own money to pay five guys to join a women's D1 basketball team that gets a game against South Carolina. That's $20,000 per guy. This is 100% real. If five legit male basketball players can find a way onto a team that has a game against South Carolina, I will make sure the NIL money is there. Getting paid $20,000 in NIL cash is much more than guys at the end of benches make.

Something tells me it won't be nearly as entertaining for her if she has to see her preferred policy played out against her. Let me know what you think of my offer at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Now, I must admit that I did something this weekend that I rarely do: stay up incredibly late.

I simply had no choice because one of my close friends is the biggest Alabama fan on the planet. I would have stayed up for the game anyways, but I probably wouldn't have gone out on the town with him to soak up his first ever Final Four. That's exactly what we did.

We hit up Dirty Water at 5:00 pm, and as a good man, I brought plenty of tacos and chips and salsa. If you're going to rock and roll all night, you might as well have plenty of food. Failure to prepare is preparing to fail. Also, I'm not going to write how many Coors Banquets were consumed because I'm not sure the girlfriend would love that, but it was a night that the European mind couldn't ever comprehend. I didn't get home until midnight, which probably hasn't happened in nearly a decade.

I felt bad for my buddy that Alabama lost, even though it meant I won a lot of money. At the end of the day, it's just money, but to him, it was a chance to play for a national title. Nate Oats is the guy, and he'll get them back at some point in the future.

Overall, it was a hell of a weekend, and it represented everything right about this country. Now, we wait to see if Purdue or UConn walks off the court with a national title. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

OutKick readers celebrate the weekend.

As usual, you guys didn't disappoint, and there is plenty to discuss. Would it surprise anyone there was plenty of basketball talk?

It shouldn't surprise a single person.

I motivated David - a Weekend Recap regular - to get himself some Coors Banquets. You simply can't beat the stubby bottles.

Nothing gets the heart beating like some great nature and beach shots.

If you're going to be out in nature, you might as well kill something you can eat!

A little softball and baseball action.

While I'm not a big fan of wrestling, I know some people are definitely huge fans. Respect.

This sounds like a good brother!

Is this horse or dog racing? I have some great memories of going to a dog track once as a kid. It was a blast.

If this doesn't put a smile on your face, then you probably don't have a soul.

I did a little extra sleeping this weekend. And no, I won't be apologizing for it!

If you're going to do yard work, you might as well eat well afterwards.

This book is 100% on my list to read. I've only heard incredible things, and can't wait to dive into the Army's other SMU. If you know, you know.

Liberals hate every single thing about this photo. Every single thing, but we love it here at OutKick.

We're going to need OutKick's Joe Kinsey to make a ruling on whether or not a Sunday cut is allowed.

A weekend on the boat? Sign us up. Just make sure the cooler is stocked.

I definitely put anyone who does remodeling, and I say that because I know I'd be terrible at it.

That's a wrap for tis week's Weekend Recap. Make sure to check back next Monday for the latest one, and keep reaching out to David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
