'Justified' Star Teases New Episodes: DETAILS

It sounds like there's a real chance "Justified" isn't done just yet.

The legendary show with Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins was by far the best show on TV for its original six seasons, and the recent limited series - "Justified: City Primeval" - was solid.

It originally looked like "City Primeval" would be the official bow on the "Justified" story after Goggins never appeared as Boyd Crowder. Well, that was until the closing moments when a bombshell was dropped on fans as Boyd was sprung from prison.

The message and ending was clear:

FX is setting up for one final run, and it sounds like Goggins is more than open to the idea.

Goggins is currently starring in "Fallout" on Amazon and will eventually return for more "Righteous Gemstones" on HBO. However, it sounds like more "Justified" episodes might be looming on the horizon.

"Yeah, everyone is primed and ready to do it. It's a matter of FX. We're waiting for them to kind of pull the trigger, and then it'll be a matter of working out schedules," Goggins told People.

That's pretty damn clear that Goggins, Olyphant and FX all intend on making sure the story isn't done just yet. The man famous for playing Boyd Crowder wants to make sure the story is told for the right reasons.

"Everyone behind the scenes, behind the camera and in front of the camera, really want to do this last lap. But I think that for all of us, it has to make sense. Like it isn't just gratuitous, right? It's not just to do another season of this for the sake of it. But I do think there is one last chapter of this story to be told," Goggins further explained to the outlet.

One final lap of "Justified" needs to happen.

I need one more season of "Justified" with Goggins returning as Boyd Crowder like I need air in my lungs. "City Primeval" was fun, and there's no doubt it was great to see Raylan (Olyphant) slinging lead against bad guys again.

However, it felt like it was definitely missing something, and what it was missing was Boyd and Raylan on screen together.

Every scene Goggins and Olyphant shared in the original series was pure art. You could mute the TV in scenes where they were getting ready to shoot it out, and it looked like they were calmly discussing post-church plans.

Let's keep our fingers crossed it gets here sooner than later because I would give just about anything for one final ride with Boyd and Raylan. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
