Waitress Fired For Posting Video Of Man On A Date With A Blow-Up Doll

A waitress saw a man on a date with a blow-up doll and decided it was an occasion worth breaking the rules to capture.  She pulled out her phone, grabbed a video of the unusual date and threw it up on TikTok.

The video went viral, and she was fired because of it.  Here's what the waitress, identified as Tara Bjork by the NY Post, said in the video which has more than 2.6 million views, "Ok, I’m not supposed to be making TikToks at work, but this calls for it."

"I work at a nice restaurant in Charlotte, and I need you guys to see what just came in the door," she continues, before flipping her camera and capturing a man sitting at a table with a blow-up doll.

It's absolutely something you don't see every day and something worth risking your job to capture.  Bjork revealed in a follow-up video that she had in fact been fired.

She also provided some details about the date with the blow-up doll.  The two had drinks, she - the blow-up doll - ordered a salad as her meal, and at one point her date fed her grapes.

So what was the cause of the romantic evening?  The guy showed up in the comment section of the video to reveal it was his punishment for finishing last in his fantasy football league.  He said, "I LOST MY FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE MAN."

He also provided video confirmation of his evening out with his lovely inflatable date on his own TikTok.

Some Moments Are Worth More Than A Job - This Is One Such Moment

The fantasy football loser's name is Henry Herrera.  He spoke to the local Queen City News about his dinner date with the inflatable woman at Restoration Hardware’s RH Rooftop Restaurant.  He said, "The funny thing is it was my idea."

"So, last year we started punishments for the last-place finisher in our fantasy football league.  The guy last year had to sit in a Waffle House for 24 hours, and every waffle you subtracted an hour. But we kept seeing that online, so we wanted to do something different," Herrerra continued.

"There’s a fountain that we sat next to.  All you could hear was the water in it.  And it was the worst 5 minutes of my life."

As for the now fired waitress, she knew that losing her job was a possibility and went for it anyway.  Bjork admitted, "I knew one of two things was going to happen; it would get no views and I would be fine or, it would blow up, and I would be fired."

You can always get another job, but you might not ever get a chance at going viral or seeing a man on a date with a blow-up doll again.  It all came together for Bjork in a moment of pure magic and that's why she's got "no regerts" after losing her job.
