Three Kansas City Men Found Frozen Had 'Fentanyl and Cocaine in System': Report

Kansas City police located three mysteriously frozen bodies in the backyard of a friend's house on January 9. The three men had gathered to watch a Chiefs game 48 hours before the police arrived.

TMZ obtained some of the toxicology results on Thursday, with the following report:

2:24 PM PT -- Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... early toxicology results from this investigation suggest traces of cocaine and fentanyl were found in the deceased's systems. A full toxicology report has yet to be released -- but for now, we're told these are substances that cops have detected early on, and there may be others that surface when the official results come out.

The report is consistent with the belief of an attorney representing one of the families of the deceased, who previously claimed the early signs pointed to "drug-related deaths."

The homeowner, Jordan Willis, also checked himself into rehab this week.

A source close to Willis' family told Fox News Digital that his client is "facing his addiction head-on" and the deaths of his friends were an  "enormous, heartbreaking wake-up call."

"After the shocking loss of three of his close friends under extremely tragic circumstances, Jordan recognized that he had a problem with addiction," the source said on Wednesday.

"[Willis] immediately checked himself into rehab after vacating his home and putting his things into storage."

Despite theories on the internet and speculation from the families of the victims, police maintain that homeowner Jordan Willis is not a suspect and this is not a homicide investigation.

Last week, Jon Harington, father of victim David Harrington, hypothesized that his son and the two other victims "saw something they shouldn’t have" that could be related to Willis' work as an HIV scientist.

Moreover, some skeptics questioned the validity of Willis' claim that he fell asleep for 48 hours – the 48 hours between the time of the party and the time police found his friends dead in his yard.
