Electric Teaser Trailer Drops For New Spy Series

"The Veil" looks like it has a lot of potential.

The plot of the upcoming FX series with Elisabeth Moss is described as; "FX’s The Veil explores the surprising and fraught relationship between two women who play a deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London. One woman has a secret, the other a mission to reveal it before thousands of lives are lost. In the shadows, mission controllers at the CIA and French DGSE must put differences aside and work together to avert potential disaster."

Does that sound interesting to you? It certainly does to me, and a new teaser is out. It definitely looks like it's going to be a very fun ride.

Give it a watch below, and send me your thoughts and reactions at David.Hookstead@outkick.com

Will "The Veil" be FX's next huge hit?

I am very excited for "The Veil" when it drops at the end of April. I love espionage and spy stories. There are very few things that can grab my attention in quicker fashion than a great spy story.

Now, will it go woke? Will FX attempt to push a narrative about girl bosses down our throats? I hope not because it's completely unnecessary.

Believe it or not, there are some women who have done some *INCREDIBLE* things in the world of black ops, especially since the GWOT started. It's something the government really doesn't like talking about, and I won't say much more here. The information is out there if you're willing to look hard enough (start at Google and Reddit), and it's easy to make a realistic spy saga with a female lead without going woke.

Go no further than "Alias" for proof of that fact. "Special Ops: Lioness" is also another great example that is fairly realistic at a base level.

Furthermore, this is FX we're talking about. It's the most underrated network on television. FX made "The Americans," "Justified," "The Shield," "Under the Banner of Heaven," "Sons of Anarchy" and other massive hits.

It might not have the prestige of HBO or Showtime, but FX is the best network on basic cable by a country mile. It produces outstanding dramas, and I have a feeling "The Veil" might be the next one to make it big.

Viewers will find out April 30th, but there's no doubt I'm excited to see what we get. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
