Thai Prostitutes Turn Bangkok's Red Light District Into A Battleground As Reported Turf War Leads To Brawl

Bangkok's Red Light District was the scene of an all-out brawl this week.  The fists started flying because of what has been described as a turf war between prostitutes.

A group of sex workers from the Philippines reportedly setup shop at a popular hotel in the area.  The Thai prostitutes who do their business there caught wind of the uninvited guests and weren't having any of it.

A dispute between the two groups of sex workers led to the police being called.  As officers were escorting the Filipino prostitutes out of the hotel, they were greeted by a crowd of Thai prostitutes.  Some reports put the number of Thai prostitutes at more than 100.

That's when the huge brawl in the streets broke out.  The video shows fists flying and prostitutes launching aerial attacks on the customer stealing sex workers as officers attempt to take them into custody,

This is the price of messing with a territory belonging to Thai prostitutes.  They're not playing around.  They're going to stand up for what belongs to them, and it is on sight even if cops are present.

Several videos from the turf war show the complete chaos as it unfolds.  Officers were prepared for what they were getting themselves into.  I don't know if it's standard procedure to wear a helmet to every call in Bangkok or not, but you had better wear one when you step into a turf war between prostitutes.

Thai Prostitutes Don't Take Kindly To Others Stepping On Their Turf

You can't just waltz onto other prostitutes' turf and not expect to face the consequences.  It doesn't matter where you are, that's not going to fly.

The officers were eventually able to get the sex workers from the Philippines out of the area and down to the police station.  From the looks of it, they weren't able to protect them from the anger of the mob.

The prostitutes on the losing end of the exchange were arrested for working without the proper paperwork.  I would bet they won't be setting up at that hotel anytime soon.
