Taylor Swift Smashes Spotify Records With New Album

Taylor Swift's new album "The Tortured Poets Department" is absolutely crushing it on Spotify.

The music superstar dropped 31 new tracks Friday, and the album has been dominating social media since late Thursday night ahead of its release.

As I wrote early Friday, I didn't particularly love the album. It's definitely not her best work, in my humble opinion, but her fans can't stop listening.

In fact, Swift is re-writing the record books.

"The Tortured Poets Department" sets several records.

While the woke mob might be out to cancel Swift, her fans are making sure she's putting up some outrageous numbers. Spotify announced "The Tortured Poets Department" has set several records since Friday.

The album is the most streamed album in a single day, Taylor Swift is the most streamed artist in a day, the album is the first album to have 300 streams in a day, and the song "Fortnight" is the most streamed song in a day. That's a lot of records for one album.

It's absolutely outrageous how much Taylor Swift moves the needle. She drops a new album and takes flamethrower to the record book in the process.

The album only dropped a couple days ago. Yet, the music superstar didn't need much time at all to break records. Not just one record. Four records all from one album.

Even if I didn't feel it was her best work, she's clearly still beloved and her fans are always going to show up for anything she drops.

The fact she's setting all these records is even funnier once you consider how people are trying to cancel her over lyrics about living in the 1830s. You love to see it! Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com
