Sydney Sweeney Used To Savagely Roast SEC Couples

Shane Gillis and Syndey Sweeney were used to savagely roast SEC couples.

Sweeney has become one of the most famous women in America, and Gillis is one of the most successful men in comedy at the moment. He's been on a rocket ship the past few years, and is absolutely hilarious.

Nothing is off-limits for the man's comedy, and while he is a well-known football fan, I'm betting none of you thought he'd be used with Sweeney to take a shot at SEC couples.

Well, the internet can be a very unpredictable place, and that's exactly what happened.

Shane Gillis and Sydney Sweeney used to roast SEC couples.

A viral tweet from @clur19 jokingly claimed the duo (they're not dating) looks like your standard SEC couple. That's funny.

I don't care who you are. That's simply funny, and people agree because that tweet is going mega-viral.

Now, I'm not an SEC expert. I'm a Big Ten guy, but I have spent a lot of time around SEC people and I've even spent time deep behind enemy lines in the SEC.

Anyone who claims this viral tweet isn't on point is lying. For reasons I simply do not understand, every standard SEC couple seems to be a random dude hitched up with a woman out of his league. Is it a money and prestige thing? Are southern dudes just awesome and punching above their weight?

Having said that, let's get real. The average woman on any campus in America - SEC or otherwise - does not look like Sydney Sweeney. Anyone who believes that is living in a fantasy land. You think the average woman on a college campus in the SEC is the same as one of the most famous women alive? Congrats. You're insane.

What I will say is that I've never had a bad time around SEC people. Whether it was my time in Oxford to cut it up with Ole Miss people or all the SEC people I've known over the years, they like to party. That's more than a good enough reason for me to give them my stamp of approval. There's also some *VERY* real truth to SEC women being a cut above the rest in terms of lifestyle and vibes, but that definitely doesn't mean the average is Sydney Sweeney. Either way, it's a hilarious tweet, and I won't apologize for laughing and neither should you. Hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
