South Park Creators Buy Casa Bonita Because It's Totally Worth It

South Park series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, also responsible for the masterwork that is Team America: World Police, announced on Friday that they are in talks to purchase the Casa Bonita attraction-restaurant in Lakewood, CO.

Casa Bonita, a nightmarish blend of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride and Rainforest Cafe, announced pursuing Bankruptcy Protection after not garnering business since shutting their doors and raising their drawbridges in March 2020.

On Friday it was announced that Stone and Parker, Colorado natives and renowned comedic duo, are purchasing the restaurant to keep families returning for the signature Casa Bonita experience.

“We know that there have been a lot of people in Colorado that love Casa Bonita and have been working on this and we’re excited to work with everybody and make it the place we all want to make it," commented Parker.

He added, “I think everyone knows the potential of what that place can be and we certainly do, and I think it’s going to be an awesome Colorado thing.”

News of the Casa Bonita purchase follow Trey Parker and Matt Stone's lucrative agreement with ViacomCBS, a deal worth $900 million to create more South Park-related content for the network's various streaming platforms.

Joining the affluent likes of our very own Clay Travis, with stacks of F-U money to basically do whatever the hell they want, Parker and Stone used their extra coin to give the restaurant a poetic revival, instead of letting it succumb to COVID. ... Which reminds me of a pitch I need to send to Clay for a restaurant that only plays Jimmy Buffett playlists and features an assortment of "island-inspired" dishes. Calling it "Clay's Buffett."

Thank God for capitalism.

As for Parker and Stone, their elation is best summed through Eric Cartman's response after his Casa Bonita binger led to getting arrested:

"Well, kid, you made an entire town panic, you lost all your friends and now you're going to juvenile hall for a week. Was it worth it?"

"Totally."
