Sinister Trailer Drops For New Horror Film 'The Watchers': VIDEO

"The Watchers" looks like the kind of movie that might make the hair on your neck stand up.

The plot of the horror/thriller film is described as, "A young artist gets stranded in an extensive, immaculate forest in western Ireland, where, after finding shelter, she becomes trapped alongside three strangers, stalked by mysterious creatures each night."

Sounds pretty interesting. Well, if the plot description isn't enough to get you fired up, the trailer should be more than enough to get the creative juices flowing.

Give the trailer for the movie with Dakota Fanning a watch below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Sinister trailer drops for "The Watchers" with Dakota Fanning.

What do we all think about the trailer? It's definitely intriguing, in my very humble opinion. To make the film even more interesting, the film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan's daughter, Ishana Shyamalan.

Now, does that guarantee anything? Not at all. Being the child of a successful filmmaker doesn't guarantee success at all.

It's also not like M. Night has a track record of only making hits. While "The Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable" were both excellent films, the man also has some major misses. "The Happening" and "The Village" weren't good at all and while I didn't see "Knock at the Cabin," I didn't hear great things.

Having said that, this movie does look really interesting, and the plot details are certainly intriguing. Plus, Dakota Fanning is a criminally underrated actress.

There's plenty to be excited about when it comes to Ishana's directorial debut.

"The Watchers" hits theaters June 7th, and given the names attached to it, I'm sure there will be plenty of hype. Let me know what you think of the preview at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
