Shakira Denies She Caught Ex Gerard Pique Cheating Via Jelly Jar

It's time to put the Shakira-Gerard Pique jelly rumor to bed.

The hip-shaking 47-year-old singer says the report claiming she caught her ex-husband Gerard cheating via a jelly jar is "not true," she said in a new Sunday Times interview.

The now-debunked rumor goes that Shakira, who also recently put tax drama behind her, came home from a trip and found a jelly jar that had been used, but Gerard and her sons weren't a fan of that flavor of jelly. It sounds outlandish that such a rumor would make its way through the Internet, but then again, we have the British royals hiding Kate Middleton and sending out what the Internet claims are deep fakes

Thankfully, the Sunday Times got to the bottom of this fruit-spread controversy that started in May 2022 when Shakira appeared on a British television show where she was shown opening a fridge in a then-new video for her song "Te Felicito."

The hosts asked the singer what she was looking for in the fridge.

"To find the truth! It is when I go to the fridge and find the head of Rauw Alejandro," Shakira reportedly said in Spanish translated to English by ShowNews Today. Later, in an interview with a Spanish media outlet, Show News Today claims Shakira loved to eat strawberry jam while Gerard wasn't a fan.

BOOM, the mistress must've been eating the jam!

"Not true," Shakira now says.

In the Times interview, Shakira claimed to not know what the interviewer was "talking about" when pressed over the jelly drama. However, she didn't have a problem expressing her happiness over writing new songs – "TQG" and "BZRP Music Session #53" – in honor of her ex and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

"It helped me exorcise a lot of the demons that were tormenting me," she told the Sunday Times.

As for who Shakira will rebound with in the dating department – OutKick Culture Insiders® say to keep an eye on Julian Edelman – she's claiming dating an athlete isn't a great idea.

But, what about a retired athlete who has Super Bowl rings, great hair, a shredded physique and has a high enough profile to date a world-famous singer?

"It’s probably a really bad idea for an artist to hook up with an athlete," she continued while noting "empathy is key in an artist’s work" while an athlete "is in a constant state of war and has to avoid empathy at all costs."

Gotcha.

"I don’t know what I need," Shakira concluded.
