Rumors About Filming Content At Work Cost A Golf Club Worker Her Job
Maddi Miller held an administration position at a golf club until rumors among the members of the club about her side gig started to fly. Once the rumors took off, there was no safely landing them.
It all started when she launched an OnlyFans to earn some extra money. A tale as old as the boom of the exclusive content platform. The fun side gig started to pick up steam, and before she knew it there was trouble at the golf club staring her in the face.
Maddi says after finding success making content, a rumor started that she had been making content at the club. When confronted by her boss, she denied it, but it was too late. The boss wasn't buying her story and she ended up losing the job.
"I enjoyed my position at the golf club and felt that I did a good job. One day, the boss pulled me aside and told me she had heard rumors from golf members about me filming content for OnlyFans at the golf club," she said, the Daily Star reports.
"Not only that, the details were extremely confronting. They suggested I was using the club’s golf equipment as props in my content, including the actual golf clubs. Of course, it was all ridiculous, and I was horrified that management believed those rumors over anything I said."
These Kinds Of Nasty Rumors Aren't Taking Maddi Miller Down
The bosses at the club took things a step further, according to Maddi. They told her that her OnlyFans encouraged the "disgraceful behavior" by the members of the club who were spreading the rumors.
"I was enjoying working there, it was my first job and I was pleased to be able to support myself financially," she said. "However, when management brought up the hurtful rumors, it was clear there was not going to be any support at the club, and it was strongly suggested I should leave."
After leaving her job at the golf club, Maddi found out the members spreading the rumors about her were subscribers of hers. They cost her a job she enjoyed, but she didn't let that get her down.
Rather than close up shop on her side gig and try her luck at another golf club, she turned her focus to her content, and now she's in the top 1%, bringing home roughly $25,000 a month. She bought a house and has her sights set on acquiring an investment property.
Now that's how you flip a nasty rumor on its head. Who needs the headache of admin work at a golf course with members who spread rumors about what they'd like to see from the content creators they subscribe to? Not Maddi, she's on to bigger and better things.
