Ride Out Dayonta 500 Rain With Patriotic Danica Patrick 'Blacking Out With Her Rack Out'

Happy Daytona 500 day! That's the good news. Whenever you wake up, and it's the day of the Great American Race, it's a good day.

The bad news? It's raining cats, dogs and Danica Patrick. OK, not that last one, but definitely the first two.

The Daytona 500 weather forecast ain't great today. Hasn't been for some time. If you're looking for an update – a good one, at least – hit that red x in the top right of your screen and get the hell out of here, because you're not finding it right now.

But if you're looking to pass the rain delay with a drunk, patriotic Danica Patrick singing the pledge of allegiance, then you've come to the right place!

Daytona 500 live update: it's still raining but at least we have Danica Patrick

That's a former Daytona 500 polesitter if I've ever seen one! Welcome back, Danica Patrick. It's been a while. Also been a weird few months for our girl.

She's weirdly gotten into politics ever since the end of last year, and now all Danica's post are some weird posturing for whatever side she's on. Frankly, I still don't know what side it is.

I think it's Republican, but she's also a big RFK Jr. fan, so it's not full Republican. These posts are the ones we fell in love with, though. This is prime Danica Patrick, which is perfect for Daytona 500 day.

Did you know we just recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Danica winning the pole at Daytona? True story:

What a time to be alive.

Now, Danica Patrick never won the Daytona 500. Never really came close to winning in NASCAR at all.

But that's OK. As long as she sticks to this sort of content in her post-racing career, we can all forgive and forget.

Now, let's just hope we get a break in the rain later today so we can go racing.

Zach grew up in Florida, lives in Florida, and will never leave Florida ... for obvious reasons. He's a reigning fantasy football league champion, knows everything there is to know about NASCAR, and once passed out (briefly!) during a lap around Daytona. He swears they were going 200 mph even though they clearly were not.
