Parents & Children Throw Hands As A Brawl Breaks Out During A Kindergarten Graduation In Tennessee

An elementary school gymnasium in Tennessee turned into a battlefield when an all-out brawl broke out during the school's kindergarten graduation ceremony.

Video shows as many as a dozen parents and children throwing hands for what was simply supposed to be an excuse to get out of work. Instead of zoning out and trying to stay awake, there were some in the bleachers looking for trouble.

They found the trouble they were looking for and three of the people involved ended up being arrested as a result. The latest example of there being far too many of these made up events went down at Buckley Carpenter Elementary on May 15.

A deputy saw a large group of adults fighting in the bleachers and was able to grab one of them involved, Tyeisha Humphreys.  According to FOX 13, the deputy says she was punching a woman later identified as Kierra Smith.

These two ladies, not surprisingly, are familiar with one another. They grew up together and, according to Humphreys, she has an order of protection against Smith.

After the deputy grabbed Humphreys, he says he placed her in a hallway away from Smith.

Instead of remaining in the hallway, a second-round bell went off in her head, and Humphreys went back into the gym to fight with Smith again.  She was then detained and escorted out of the school.

The brawl reportedly required several officers from different departments to break up.  The video shows complete chaos with multiple fights taking place simultaneously across the gym.

Congratulations On Mastering Naptime, The Adults Are Going To Celebrate By Punching Each Other

The melee started with an argument in the bleachers between Smith and a child.  When the child stood up and assumed an aggressive stance towards Smith, she, being the adult in the situation, responded by standing up too.

Humphreys witnessed what was going down and made her way down the bleachers to hit Smith from behind.  That's when the larger brawl broke out.

When all was said and done, a man identified Dantavious Gilchrease, Tyeisha Humphreys, and her mother, Rhonda Humphreys, were all arrested.

Gilchrease was charged for an argument that took place outside of the school where he allegedly told Rhonda Humphreys that he would shoot her in the face.

Records show that Tyeisha was arrested for violating an order of protection and inciting a riot.  She also faces three counts of simple assault.

All that for a completely meaningless graduation.  I say that as someone who attended a preschool graduation last week. These need to end.

I'll give you the high school and college graduations.  That's it.  Everything else, especially preschool and kindergarten, has to be done away with.

I've seen signs in the yard now congratulating both kindergarten and middle school "graduates." Enough is enough. We can't let these ceremonies infect yard signage now too.
