If You Need Something To Tie A Room Together Ozzy Osbourne's Throne Is For Sale
That would look pretty great in my office...
I've been casually looking for a new office chair. The one I've got doesn't provide the kind of lumbar support for a gentleman like myself whose job involves a lot of ass-sitting.
But today, I was given the heads up that one of metal's most iconic thrones — the one their late great Ozzy Osbourne used during his final public appearance — is up for sale.
Now, this is not to be confused with the throne the Prince of Darkness used in his final performance, just weeks before his death, during which he performed a pair of short sets: one solo and one with Black Sabbath.

But still, how many Ozzy Osbourne thrones are out there?
Actually, probably quite a few now that I think about it… but still, how awesome is this thing?!
Ozzy used the throne at Comic Con Midlands, which actually took place about a week after his final performance, making it, sadly, the last time he took part in a public event.
The throne was signed by Osbourne and inscribed "Ozzy Osbourne Was Here." If that wasn't proof enough that it's the real McCoy, there's a certificate of authenticity that comes with it.
You can place a bid now through Golden Auctions, and with about 22 days left on the clock, the highest bid is $6,500.
That would look so great in my office. I'd show up on a Zoom meeting and everyone would be all like, "Sweet throne, Matt," and I'd be like, "Thanks."
I think it might be a tough sell for the fiancée, though. She's got a very HGTV-style "modern farmhouse" aesthetic going with our place. It's nice, but something tells me a Gothic throne that looks like something a ne'er-do-well stoner kid would sketch on his math notebook would clash with that theme.
Unfortunately, we'll never know, because I've already been priced out.
Something tells me the final price of that throne is going to be through the roof when the auction draws to a close.
