Ouch: Tennessee Man Cuts Off His Penis During Police Chase

Tennessee man Tyson Gilbert went way off the rails Wednesday morning during a police chase and cut off his penis as Tennessee state troopers were hauling ass behind his Honda Accord. The 39-year-old Cookeville, TN native told police he was hearing voices and the radio told him to cut off his penis to help save the world.

So Gilbert took a knife, cut off his penis and launched it out the window during the pursuit from Dowelltown, TN to Lebanon on Highway 70, according to WJLE.

Tennessee State Trooper Bobby Johnson was the first officer to approach Gilbert post-penis butchering.

“When I pulled up behind him and turned my lights on, he took off and refused to stop. He was all over the road the whole time. He turned off on Old Liberty Road and came to a stop. He opened his door. He was naked and covered in blood. He then shut his door and kept driving,” said Trooper Johnson.

Eventually, spike strips were too much for Gilbert's Accord and he was taken down for the chase and active warrants that might be related to a 2020 incident where Gilbert attempted to steal rental cars at the Nashville airport.
