Olivia Dunne's Prank On Boyfriend Backfires: VIDEO

Olivia Dunne attempted to prank her boyfriend……and it didn't go according to plan!

The LSU star athlete is dating former Tigers pitcher and first overall MLB pick Paul Skenes. The two are the definition of a young power couple.

She's a social media sensation with millions of followers, and he's a top MLB pitching prospect currently with the Pirates organization after being the top pick last year.

That's a lot of winning. How do they keep things fun and light? Apparently, Dunne is a fan of pranks, but her last one kind of blew up on her.

Olivia Dunne fails to prank her boyfriend Paul Skenes.

Dunne called Skenes and told him she had an endorsement deal to do one simple thing:

Welding underwater on an oil rig.

Yes, Olivia Dunne called her boyfriend claiming to have a deal on the table to do underwater welding, and his reaction couldn't have been funnier.

He was all for it! Check out her surprised reaction below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Gentlemen, I hope you're out there taking notes because this is exactly how you handle a situation like this one. My reaction wouldn't have been any different if my girlfriend told me she was going to an oil rig to do some underwater welding.

Don't ask questions when something clearly stupid is being floated. Just endorse it and move on. Don't even leave the door open for discussion.

I don't know much about Paul Skenes, but he seems like a smart guy. Do we really think he thought for a second Olivia Dunne was going to engage in a dangerous line of work on an influencer trip? Not at all. He handled her prank attempt like an absolute pro.

In fact, he handled it so well and in such supportive fashion that Dunne looked a bit shook. I believe that's what we call turning the tables.

Major props to Paul for not falling for this foolishness, and credit to Dunne for at least giving it a shot. It was a nice attempt, even if it did fail miserably. Let me know your reaction at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
