Netflix Drops Hilarious Clip From Upcoming Shane Gillis Comedy Series

Shane Gillis fans might be in for a real treat with "Tires."

Gillis has been on a rocket ship to the top of the comedy mountain over the past couple years, and there's a serious argument to be made he's the third most famous comedian in the game right now - behind only Dave Chappelle and Bill Burr.

Cancel culture came for him after SNL hired and fired him (before ultimately bending the knee), but instead of cowering in a hole, Gillis decided to do the only thing he could:

Push forward and make people laugh.

That's now landed him what appears to be a really funny Netflix series.

The plot of the series from the streaming giant is described as, "Will (Steven Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Shane Gillis)."

It's also Gillis' first scripted series, and judging from the clip shared by Netflix, it's going to be a fun one. Give it a watch below.

If you don't see the potential in a series where Shane Gillis' character bullies a guy running an auto repair chain, then you don't know great comedy when you see it.

This is going to be gold. It's also a further sign Netflix is focused on content that is legitimately funny, and won't cave to the woke mob. Remember, Netflix stood strong against the woke mob when they came for Dave Chappelle. The streaming company 100% backed the comedian.

That appeared to give the green light to everyone else that Netflix is open for business when it comes to comedy. That means fans will get Gillis in a scripted series starting May 23rd.

Finally, you're really missing out if you're not listening to Gillis' podcast with Matt McCusker. He somehow manages to turn historical breakdowns into pure comedy gold. Check out my favorite one below, and let me know your thoughts on "Tires" at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
