Morgan Wallen Trolls Nashville City Council In Awesome Fashion

Morgan Wallen didn't take Nashville politicians walking all over him without saying something in response.

The Metropolitan Council denied a request for Wallen's new bar - called Morgan Wallen's This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen - to build a 20-foot outside of the building, according to Fox News. The vote to deny it was 30-3.

Many Nashville bars feature large signs outside of the establishments, but Nashville leaders made it clear Wallen wouldn't be allowed to do it because of his conduct. The "Neon Eyes" singer was arrested after he allegedly threw a chair off the roof of a bar and also drunkenly said a racial slur to his friend years ago.

"Mr. Wallen is a fellow East Tennessean. He gives all of us a bad name. His comments are hateful; his actions are harmful," District 14 Council member Jordan Huffman said during the vote.

Member Delishia Porterfield added, "I don't want to see a billboard up with the name of a person who's throwing chairs off of balconies and who is saying racial slurs."

Well, Wallen fired back in pretty awesome fashion.

Morgan Wallen trolls Nashville leaders after sign for new bar is denied.

While some local politicians might want people to believe Wallen isn't welcome, regular people would disagree. Wallen reminded everyone of that fact.

Following the denial, he posted a photo on his Instagram story of Nissan Stadium absolutely packed and sold-out for one of his three shows at the venue in early May.

Good for Wallen for subtly firing back. As anyone who has ever been to Nashville knows, there are big signs everywhere. Denying Wallen a sign because they don't like his conduct is a meaningless gesture. Does anyone think people won't know where Morgan Wallen's This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen is because a sign was denied?

Morgan Wallen is the most famous man in country music at the moment. People are going to flock to his venue whether it has a sign or not.

The Nashville Metropolitan Council wanted to flex its power. Go ahead. It will have zero impact on Wallen, and that's the point he was making with his post. Politicians can hate him. The common man does not.

Morgan Wallen's This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen is slated to open this weekend. Something tells me plenty of people will be there. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
