McKenzie Rose Hewson Lights Up Instagram, The Burrow Burger & Putin Takes A Fake Nap At Olympics
You guys want snow removal content? Indy Daryl is BACK!
I know what many of you guys are thinking: What happened to Indy Daryl of 'Do Hard Things' fame?
Look, it's winter. A year ago at this time, I hadn't yet provided my email to the Screencaps community and I didn't know any of you on an email basis. I would ramble on about sports, maybe some business story and that would be it. Now Screencaps has characters who fill specific roles within the community.
Many of those characters were built around mowing, throwing meat on a grill and suckin' down garage beers. This is the offseason for so many of the Screencaps characters, including many of the Instagram ladies who are frantically looking for tropical locations to fill up their content tanks.
Enter Indy Daryl. He's been quiet like the rest of us. More than likely, he's been hunkered down, working hard, researching 2022 summer travel plans and counting the days until this winter jail sentence is over.
Thursday, I heard from Daryl.
Good morning and happy snow day! Thanks for keeping grinding on this delightfully white weather day. Didn’t know how others like to do it, but I prefer getting a good ice melt layer down the night before, a shovel about halfway through the storm, and then a final shovel once the storm is over.
Probably means more actually shoveling, but I find the shoveling to be easier each time. Anyway, here is my Thursday Morning Shoveling Report: finished up the first shovel down the 100’ or so driveway. Kids are currently trying to sled down the deck into the yard while I hop on a meeting!

The first thing I noticed about Daryl's photo was the garage. The cars in there staying warm. And I keep thinking of all those Screencaps readers enjoying those winter garage beers.
Last night, I stopped down at a neighbor's house after work to have a couple of cold ones (really cold ones) in his garage where he pulled out one of his outdoor propane flaming columns for heat. He had the radio on. The kids were jumping in snow and we were talking football and life.
Yes, Florida was great last week, but there's still something about those brutally cold after-work snow beers with the fellow 40-something neighbors. I hear about the neighbor's kids going through winter baseball training sessions and how everyone got over their winter colds.
At the end of the beer:30 conversation, we discuss our snow removal plans and then it's time to get home for dinner.
Then it hits me on the walk home. This Normal American® life really isn't bad. There's still something so Norman Rockwell about 30 mph winds & snow whipping you in the face as you walk down the street after garage beers.
• The Rams fans are starting to come out of the woodwork, and there's finally some pushback to the Bengals Screencaps takeover that has been happening for weeks now.
As a UGA alum, I too am with Arthur from Atlanta in rooting for the Rams bc of Stafford being a great Dawg who deserves a ring-but my rooting interest goes a tad deeper. The Rams head coach Sean McVay is a graduate of Marist High School in Atlanta Ga-which my dad and I both attended.
The last football game I attended with my dad before he passed away from cancer was the state championship game in which McVay won Marist a state title-and he was phenomenal to watch. I will never forget it-so iwant McVay to get that ring above all.

My apologies Joe,
I have been a Rams fan for over 30 years. So I cannot join you and your dad in rooting for the Bengals. The Bengals are a quality team full of guys worth pulling for. Just not against my team. I hope to renew our friendship February 14th. But until then.....Go Rams!
3. Arthur in Atlanta is another Georgia guy who wants that Super Bowl for the Staffords:
For the record, I have to confess that I will probably be pulling for the Rams in the Super Bowl, as I- along with most Georgia fans- really want to see Matthew Stafford win a Super Bowl ring & cement his legacy in the NFL after having to endure over a decade in Detroit. Not to mention two other Dawgs (Leonard Floyd & Sony Michel) play big roles for the Rams, plus two of their offensive assistant coaches (Thomas Brown &Nick Jones) are UGA alums.
The Bengals used to have a ton of former Dawgs on their squad (AJ Green, Geno Atkins, Robert Geathers, Shawn Williams, Orson Charles, even back to Odell Thurman & David Pollock), but right now they're down to reserve OL Trey Hill. So again, I'll be overjoyed for you & all the long-suffering Bengals fans if you do pull it out, but I'll be ever so slightly behind the Rams next Sunday. Sorry!

I will say it's interesting to see Michael J. follow the Rams after they left St. Louis. I was under the impression that people would rather die than root for a Stan Kroenke team after he ripped the hearts out of St. Louis Rams fans.
As for the Dawgs fans, I get it, your guy has a chance at a ring. It's no different than 20 million LSU fans who are now Bengals fans.
• Mike T. & Cindy T.'s Mexican adventure rolls on and Mike decided to mix up the content for you guys and it was a big success.
Mike writes:
Something a little different, the International Charro Grand Prix, held about 25 km outside Puerto Vallarta. It’s an international horse and rodeo competition.
Bottle service?
Charros, male cowboys.
Escaramuzas, female rodeo Queens of Mexico. Man, can they ride! PS , the Ladies ride dude saddle!
Quite xan adventure!

Mike & Cindy 100% get the content I'm looking for. Bottle service guy is absolutely brilliant Screencaps material. However, I need to remind Mike T. & Cindy T. that readers are going to light up my inbox wondering how much for a rum & Coke. Still, this is the type of report from the road that I need to see around the world. I want to minor details of life. The Associated Press and the other Big J blue checkmark nerds are all about the big names, big events, big moments.
I've told you guys that I zig when the Big Js zag, and the Ts GET IT!
Brilliant job.

It even has a comma in it.
• As mentioned up top, 20 million LSU fans (at least!) are rooting for the Bengals. Ken Z. in NOLA has the proof:
Earlier in the week, you asked if the Bengals would be the team everyone would be rooting for during the Super Bowl. As you can see from the images attached, South Louisiana is all in on the Bengals. The Saints will always be the first choice, but now that Cincinnati has Joe Borrow, the Bengals will be second. I took these pictures outside of the Superdome, apparently there is someone with deep pockets that likes Joe and Ja’Marr. I saw another billboard in New Orleans running the same images. People are even wearing Burrow Bengal jersey around town.
Good luck next week and Geaux Bengals.
